NEW AUDIENCES
MAiLOUT's main feature in this special issue is a focus on the 'social inclusion' areas of work funded through Arts Council England's New Audiences funding programme.

Starting with a look at the impacts of some projects in the programme which were researched by Helen Jermyn, it explores a range of projects of all kinds, and looks at some of the lessons to be learnt.
Evaluating projects Pericles Working at the edges Fast forward
Helen Germyn highlights the main findings of her evaluation of a substantial cluster of New Audience projects. Cardboard Citizens linked up with the Royal Shakespeare Company with a new interpretation of Shakespeare's 'Pericles'. Adrian Jackson reflects. Neil Gordon looks at some of the the broader issues of working with homeless people, and at where art can fit in. Oxford-based Fusion ran an exte4nded and successful project with homeless people which helped some of them to find an anchor. Tara Stewart explains.
